Autumn in Tennessee is so enchanting. As someone who grew up in Dallas where the seasons change from summer to winter without a lot of colors in between, I really appreciate the color and vibrance that Tennessee brings. The colors can be so bright with the orange, yellow and red tones. There’s no better place for a wedding in the fall than at Ravenswood Mansion. In the heart of Brentwood, this historic venue has such a peaceful and timeless elegance, and it’s truly one of my favorite places in all of Nashville.

From the church ceremony to the stunning reception at The Bridge Building, the day was a beautiful reflection of Meredith and Tucker’s love. Your wedding day is a tapestry of moments and memories, each thread weaving together to create a beautiful story. Among these moments, the details—often small, but profoundly significant—play a crucial role in shaping the narrative of your celebration. As a photographer, it is such a joy to capture these intricate details, especially when the backdrop is as historic and elegant as the Daughters of the American Revolution in Washington, DC.

2023 was the year I really tried my best to focus on destination weddings. Don’t get me wrong, I love Nashville with all of my heart, and I will never leave. It will always be home for me now. But boy do I love to travel.

This wedding was one I was looking forward to all year. Haley told me that she was planning a wedding for December, and the goal was to be as elegant as possible. She booked the wedding venue The Room on Main in downtown Dallas. As a fellow Texan with my family still living in Dallas, I was so excited to travel home and photograph her wedding.

This wedding day could not have been more beautiful. I flew to Nebraska for the first time to photograph Courtney and Logan’s wedding at Arbor Day Farm. I was blown away with all of the rich color that Nebraska had to offer. So many tones of yellow, red and green, and don’t even get me started on the sunsets. WOW!

I had the privelege of photographing Logan proposing to Courtney in Nashville. Logan had a sweet proposal surprise for her and flew her whole family to Nashville for a surprise dinner with a private chef. When he told me over the phone all of his plans, I was so excited for Courtney! A couple months after the session, they reach out and asked if I’d be willing to photograph their wedding in Nebraska. I said OF COURSE, and booked my trip.
