Thanks so much for stopping by! My name is Hannah, and I am a destination wedding photographer with a heart for adventure and a passion for travel. I have been a photographer for about seven years now! It’s crazy how fast time flies when you’re having so much fun. Over the years, I have learned so much about how to capture moments creatively. I absolutely love natural light. It helps creates beautiful images and enhances the happy feeling surrounding the memory you’re wanting captured.
Something you might not know about me is that I am actually from Dallas! My husband and I packed up all of our things about six years ago and moved to Nashville. As soon as we arrived, doors started opening in ways I couldn’t even imagine. I photographed newborns at a few different hospitals in Nashville for about three years. This job taught me all about finding those beautiful moments and capturing images with a documentary style. When I say documentary, what I mean by that is, I have an eye for finding things that might go unnoticed, but speak volumes in a gallery. After a couple years at this job and also photographing weddings on the weekends, I felt like I was being pulled in a different direction. I knew how much I loved shooting weddings, but I never thought I could jump headfirst and focus mainly on that instead of branching out to other things. Weddings are my jam. After being a full time wedding photographer now for the past three years, I can say it was the best decision I could’ve ever made.
My job as a photographer goes way beyond just being behind a camera and taking your picture. I’ll be the one that will gush over all the details coming together that make your wedding day special, help you choose outfits when you just don’t know where to turn, and most importantly make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. Anytime anyone gets in front of my camera, I want them to be themselves and not just a posed version of themselves. I love making people laugh and capturing those genuine smiles!
One of the most important things to me on a wedding day is to photograph all the details. You’ve planned everything down to very last detail for you special day, and this is my favorite way to capture it. Before each wedding day begins, I do a flat lay of paper items such as save the dates or invitations, rings/jewelry, and also family heirlooms. This starts your gallery out by showcasing all those things that need a moment to shine.
In one of my recent reviews I received from a bride, she said something that really stuck out to me.
“Hannah is kind and attentive, and one of my favorite things is that she pays attention to the small details that most people aren’t aware of. She made sure to capture all of the small moments between me and my husband that I will cherish for a lifetime.”
These words were like music to my ears. I feel like what truly sets me a part from other photographers is that I live to give my clients galleries full of moments that they wouldn’t normally see during a wedding day. This could be grandma and grandpa holding hands at the table, the flower girl practicing throwing her petals or even a tear falling from someone’s cheek during the ceremony. These are the moments I live for.
To sum it all up, I think it’s important to say that finding a photographer that you gel with is so important. I want to get to know my clients on a deeper level. When I get to know them for who they are, it allows me to create something magical. If you’re someone who loves traveling and/or someone that pays attention to detail, I think we will get along just fine!
That’s a little bit about me and what makes me, ME! If you want to know a little bit more about my passion for traveling, head on over to my destination page. It’s also really fun to look at all the photos I’ve taken around the world!!
I hope to chat so soon!!
XO,
Hannah
